In the past you were considered rich if you had a roof over your head and your basic needs were met. Something as simple as fish could be considered wealth, money didn’t exist and trade and exchange was the only means used to get what you need.
In this sad era, we have moved far past being satisfied with what
we need, we want what we desire even if we can’t afford it.
What a bunch of lost cases we all are!
We feel unworthy of being a part of a conversation with wealthy
people, and because we don’t have what they have, we feel intimidated and
small.
The new generation needs to learn the basic characteristic of
self-worth. We shouldn’t be characterised by how much money we have - rather, we
should be defined by what value we can add to our dismantled world. So much needs
to be done, let’s not stand on the side lines, and let a low bank balance stand
in the way of us doing good. Let’s begin to help!
Get involved and start building a nation of self-worth and not a nation
money-worth.
Appreciate the finer things in life. If fish should fall
from the sky we shouldn’t turn it into a scientific research project - we
should feed the hungry.
