There is no better time than God's time

There are few statements that are more true than this. I experienced this today... I had a "fall out" (or whatever the politically correct term may be) with a friend and for many weeks I walked around with anger and the inability to forgive and today out of the blue God sent His answer and gave me peace, calm and forgiveness.

After many weeks of frustration God sent His answer in His time and I am grateful that I am a believer in His grace and mercy, otherwise I would not have seen the message He was trying to bring me.

Thank you Lord for your grace and mercy, without you nothing is possible but through you and with you ALL things are possible.

Amen.

Feelings follow behaviour

I don't fully agree with this statement as I believe that behaviour follows feelings. If you are feeling down, your actions with soon follow your feelings. If you're in a bad or sad mood and sometimes, if you are like me, you won't want anyone around you.

When I'm sad I avoid people as far as possible because my sad moods usually turn into bad moods which leads to actions of frustration and rude attitudes (not a pretty sight I must admit). Anyway, so back to the point...

Actions are followed by feelings. That sounds a little more right than feelings following behaviour, I agree with myself, do you?

It is better to practice a little than to talk a lot

I have experienced the importance of practicing more than you talk. In my first year as a journalism student I was told that I would buckle under the pressure and that I would not be able to keep up with the other students. This is when I decided to practice and not talk. My first year I passed with distinction, and in my final year I was one of the top ten students in my class. In your face, doubters!

Then I decided to tackle public relations, currently I am completing my BTech, and during the first few days I was underestimated, my fellow classmates assumed that I would not be able to handle the pressure. Again, I decided to practice and not talk. For my first assignment I got 72%, while many other students who had more experience than me didn’t even pass it.

So it is most definitely better to practice a little than to talk a lot. Showing that you can do something is better than saying that you can.

That's me on my graduation :) my loved one next to me :)

Painting with my sister

I have always loved the pleasures of art, whether it is music, dance, painting or design. I will admit that I don’t have a great love for the art of theatre though.

So, my sister and I were feeling somewhat bored one afternoon and decided to whip out the paintbrushes and some paint. Oh what fun we had, we ended up sitting and painting in the sun for hours. It was so soothing and peaceful, most enjoyable.

You should really try painting, even if you don’t have an inch of creativity in you – I can assure you that something will develop between the paint, paintbrush and some paper.

Do enjoy it!

Check out my attempt at painting below  ...

That's my art work lol... It's bigger than it looks, this is not an A4 page

This is my little sister's ... Oh what fun we had

Wedding cake-in-the-middle-of-the road

This reminded me of an article I read not too long ago about a young lady who seemed to have it all. The love of her life had just proposed to her in the most wonderful way possible and she was completely in love.

Then suddenly without notice her soon-to-be husband died, the article does not speak of how he died but whatever it may be, it was extremely sad. In the end the wife-to-be couldn’t imagine life without the love of her life and she committed suicide.

Before she did that though, she had a little marriage ceremony for the husband she never had. She also baked a cake and had some rice that she used as confetti. When she pronounced herself and her husband man and wife she through the rice out of the window and she followed it. She had a slice of cake in her hand when she reached the ground – there it was: Wedding cake in the middle of the road.
